Lucknow Central is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language drama film, directed by Makrand Deshpande.The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Diana Penty and Deepak Dobriyal in lead roles. It was released on 17 March 2017. The movie Lucknow Central is all about the prisoners who are living at the Lucknow central prison during their sentence who are unaware that their lives are about to change drastically once they hear three words- "escape"! The film also stars actress Huma Qureshi, Sanjay Mishra and Rajesh Tailang in supporting roles.It was produced by Vinod Chopra Productions with Sony Pictures Entertainment India releasing the film worldwide by way of distributing it locally. They were convicted for committing heinous crimes and they have been sentenced to prison. But they have no idea what is really going on around them as a large number of people including a lawyer had a hand in creating the "escape" plan.
